Noob cant find SMB share in Kodi

Featured Replies

I setup my first ever Unraid server today (i'm a NAS noob) and configured all my shares for all my media.  I'm able to access all my shares from my windows desktop and play the media stored within them but i'm struggling to understand how to find my shares in Kodi.

I have the latest version of Kodi installed on my Nvidia Shield but i've completely failed in finding my shares to add as sources. My Unaird server has the default name of 'tower' and SMB settings are all default (Workgroup).

I've tried to add a new server in Kodi using the names 'tower' and 'workgroup' as well as using the IP address of my unraid server without success.

If anyone could help me out i'd really appreciate it.

Thanks

Think you have to add new source as 'smb://towerIP/Movies'.
