Install nvme drive - Unraid behaves strangely. Remove drive, then works again!

Featured Replies

My server has been running superbly for 150 days and never missed a beat, it's a new machine (12 months old). It has a cache pool of two SSD and several WD red hard drives. All works well.

I decided to add an nvme drive to run my VM's separate from the cache pool. Installed the drive and the board sees it and Unraid boots. However, the unraid UI is now white (it was black) and the drives are all mounted, including the NVME drive and is showing in 'unassgined devices' which is correct. However, docker won't start and it says errors 'parsing'. I can access the data on all the drives and my cache pool has all the VM and docker data.

I reboot and then I can't access the unraid UI at all.

Shutdown, remove the nvme drive and it all boots up correctly and everything is running.

The server booted up correctly but does say 'cannot connect to hypervisor' but this has said this for many months and the server runs fine, teh screenshot below shows this. The second image is a quick image of the server shutting down with the nvme drive installed.

I am running version 6.8.3.

Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated.
