January 7, 20215 yr Hi folks Hope someone can help a newbie with an issue I have. I recently upgraded my Virgin internet to their 1GB sevice. Excited to try out the new speeds I immediately attempted a download using SABnzbd (direct to the Array). To say I was disappointed with the download speeds would be an understatement as they showed little increase from the previous 200Mbps package. This morning I shut down the unRaid server and booted up into windows - and tried the same download and achieved speeds approaching saturation of the line (around 890Mbps). This was done again using SABnzbd. Is there anything I can do to increase the download speeds on unRaid to mirror those I saw using Windows. I was downloading direct to the array and a this time don't use a cache drive. I do have an ssd drive that could be pressed into service, but I'm loathe to use it without guarantee of success, as it contains my Windows installation and if there is nothing I can do to resolve this I would probably revert back to a windows installation to achieve the increased download speeds. Thanks for any help Derek
January 8, 20215 yr I too am a new user who has a similar issue, I've been searching for the last week only to so far find threads that end abruptly with no definite answer. My speed starts out almost at max for about 10 seconds and then drops to less than half of that until system is restarted. I have tried downloading to the array, and to a cache drive with no noticeable difference (other than post processing speed). Could be two separate issues as there are so many different hardware and software configurations, but for me the type of storage destination had no effect.
January 8, 20215 yr Author Thanks - I too have found those threads, hence why I started a new one in the hope of getting some traction and a resolution. Appreciate you taking the time to reply. Hopefully someone will chime in with a solution.
