January 8, 20215 yr Hello, I would like share my build specs, please comment, criticize, suggest improvements. - case: fractal node 804 with 7 noctua fans (replaced all 3 stock case fans, and added a few). 4 front intake (NF-A12), 2 back panel exhaust (mobo chamber - NF-A12 and NF-A14 - HDDs/PSU chamber) and another 1 top (NF-F12) panel exhaust. - PSU: corsair RM750x fan facing bottom. - mobo: ASRock X570M - RAM: corsair vengeance DDR4 3000 2x16GB - CPU: Ryzen 3400G + noctua CPU cooler (NH-U12A) - HDD: 4x Seagate IronWolf 8TB for array, 1x 12 TB Ironwold for parity - 2x 1TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe M.2 used in a cache pool (initially installed Rocket Nvme 4.0 M.2, but i had a failure on original and replaced drive, so returned and replace with samsung ones) HHDs temps stay between 29C-34C, SSDs: 31C-35C. have only 1 pic - mobo/CPU chamber, will update the post with PSU/HHD chamber side soon.
January 29, 20215 yr Hi, one question: 3400G is "quiet" energy eater, 65w. Really need so much fans ? Did you try some test w/o less fans ? Interessting by the 2nd chamber btw 😃

February 9, 20215 yr Hi, do you have information about the powerdraw of the system? I'm considering downgrading my Ryzen 1700 8 Core CPU to a more energy saving, newer CPU. Thanks!
