January 9, 20215 yr This is the third HDD in my disk 2 spot I've used in the last 6 months. They all keep throwing errors and then start getting disabled by unraid after a short period of time . The last 2 drives have been brand new that I installed and rebuilt. I have switched SATA cables, I've switched SATA ports and I've also put a different power cable on the drive as well from the drive before it on the modular supply. Nothing seems to stop this, Anyone have any ideas? unraid-diagnostics-20210109-0939.zip
January 10, 20215 yr Community Expert SAS2LP is not recommended for a long time, they are known to drop disks without a reason, though strange it's still the same one, still would recommended replacing it with an LSI.

The SATA card is not the issue. Reason being, This HDD was on a MB SATA port when this started. I switched ports on the MB with a different drive that was not having this issue. Needless to say, Same problem. Then I connected it to the SATA card, Same problem. That card has 6 other drives on it, None have had any issues. I don't get it.
