RX 5700 GPU Pass through crash

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone.

I am a total noob using unraid moving over from esxi as they do not support my new motherboard.

Current System

MB : Asus B550 Tuf Gaming
CPU : Ryzen 5 2600

Ram : 16 GB Corsair Vengence

Unraid 6.9 rc 2 only because support for my network adapter is finally supported in this version

Gpu 1 : Gt640 (Nvidia - Gigabyte) * Temporary
GPU 2: RX 5700 tuf gaming (Asus)

I have 2 VM's
1. Using the Gt640 works 100%, currently using it to type this post.

2. Using the RX5700 - Keeps crashing I see the TianoCore image and then the logs just say crashed.

The 2 VM's are identical - I have no idea what might be the issue.

I do not know if this helps

I Tried no vbios, 1 downloaded from TechPowerup , 1 dumped using gpu z and one Downloaded using SpaceInvader gpu vbios dump script. None of them work

Side note. I tried installing windows using vnc and the 5700 as secondary card it did work, the card showed up in device manager but the driver never activated the card :(

I will be very happy to send the xml or anything else but do not really know where to find them.
