Hey all,

I am going to be building a critical 24/7 unRAID Server for the following:

  • Critical file storage;
  • Computer Backups;
  • Plex;
  • Media Finder/Downloader/Metadata/Organize (Sonarr, Radarr, Linarr, uTorrent, Sabnzbd, Plexply etc..)
  • VMs;
    • Home Assistant;
    • Ubuntu;
    • Debian;
      • Pi-hole;
  • Dockers;
    • Nextcloud;
      • File cloud and email server;
    • Grafana;
    • Portainer;
    • Zabbix;
    • OpenVPN;
    • NetData;
  • and a few others.

 

What would you guys suggest for a CPU and motherboard? I am looking to spend about a thousand USD on just the CPU and MoBo, not the entire build. Just for the record, I have a Quadro P2200 and plan to use it. I will need PCiE slots available for a GPU, 10 Gig NIC, HBA, and SAS expander.

 

And again, this is mission-critical and will run 24/7.
