Davidbrierley 0
Hello, first post on here but could really do with some help or opinions . I have started my build and I want to utilise a number of 2tb sas drives I have I know I cant use them natively with an matx build as its backplane is sata however I am struggling to find any detail regarding pci-e sas controllers From what I am aware sas combines power and the connector but I'm struggling to understand how I could connect my sas drives to my build . If anyone has any recommendations it would be appreciated . My build is as follows Ryzen 5 16gb 2 x 4tb ironwolf 1 x 500 GB m2 for cache I really want to add my 6 x 2tb sas to my array as I already have these drives Thanks in advance Quote Link to post

JorgeB 3474
Any will do but the other end depends on the controller, e.g. sff-8087 is usually used for SAS2 controllers, sff-8643 for SAS3. Quote Link to post
