Featured Replies

I have it installed but the only way I can upload etc to it is to just choose the ip address of the nas and upload to it....Where are the files going? and How could I point it to a particular drive I have tried 192.X.X.X/mnt/disk1/backups but this craps out...what am I doing wrong?

Where did you install rsync?  (It is already part of unRAID, so not need to install at all)

Did you create a rsync.conf file?  Did you start the rsync daemon process o the server?

What PC are you copying from?

You need to give a lot more detail before anybody can help you.

I installed it from unmenu. I'm basically trying to figure out how to configure it. I have no idea how to configure it I thought there was a conf file for rsync in the etc folder but seems to not be there

I am also trying to find a resource on how to use rsync. I have it installed using unmenu but I do not know what to do next.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Camel

rsync has been a part of unRAID for a very long time.  probably no need to install it.

google:

man rsync

Thx Joe,

There is a lot of info on this. Not sure how to put it all together but let me study it for a bit and get some specific questions.
