Moving boot USB + array disks to new mobo

Featured Replies

I'm interested in building my first unraid storage system on an old spare motherboard + CPU I've got lying around here. I'll want to buy something better in the months ahead though so I'm just wondering how easy it will be to migrate the build and data onto a new motherboard in the future - would it be as easy as moving the unraid boot USB and all the disks onto the new motherboard, or is there more to it than this?

Thanks in advance!

Usually yes, as long as no RAID controllers are involved, any VM pass-trough settings might also need tuning if applicable.
