[SOLVED] Device Is Disabled, Contents Emulated

Featured Replies

Sorry if this has been discussed many times in the past. I checked out a few threads and saw some mixed information so I thought it would be better to start a new thread.

So one of the disks has a red x next to it with the message "Device Is Disabled, Contents Emulated".

I have already rebooted before consulting the forum. So I have lost the log. Any suggestions pleas on how to proceed ahead. Thanks !

Since the diags are after a reboot we can't see what happened, but the disk looks healthy, would recommended replacing/swapping cables to rule them out and then rebuild on top.

Sorry but what exactly do I do to rebuild on top? stop array, re add disk and then it will give me this option ?
