6.9.0-rc2 Disable AAAA lookups

Featured Replies

Hi,

My router has been giving me issues by blocking AAAA DNS requests so it makes certain things take 10 seconds to resolve the IP as its waiting for the AAAA response.

I was just wondering if there is a way of stopping unraid from requesting these in the first place.

I've already tried to disable IPv6 all together with systctl but it had no effect.

An example of one of these requests when doing a curl to ifconfig.so with IPv6 disabled through sysctl.

Found a temporary solution.

Just add this to a user script to make it run at startup.

#!/bin/bash
echo "options single-request-reopen" > /etc/resolv.conf
