Quick question:

 

I have a working Unraid server and need to replace the parity disk with a larger HDD. Am I correct in my assumption that the parity disk is just parity information and an encryption is not available/needed due to that? all my data drives are encrypted.

    Yes the the parity drive is not subjected to encryption.
