January 16, 20215 yr As stated there was a power outage, which is farly rare, where I live. But It did some funky thing to my rig. The USB works fine, it's just not recognized as a boot option for the motherboard. It's an old USB and thought it would be a good idea to replace it. But the software provided by LimeTech can't seem to find it, so I formattet it, as shown in the video (05:35 to 06:52): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEkgAhFI_GM&ab_channel=SpaceinvaderOne I've tried it with the .zip file, downloaded from the flash boot (Video 12:05 to 13:05), but that didn't work. It wound't even boot. When I've took some of the drives out from the server and found the folder where CA Backup, backs up the Flash-Driver, the configuration is as in the video (12:40 to 16:46): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=su2miwZNuaU So I have all my data, but the USB configuration doesn't seem to work, and the LimTech software can't find the new USB I want to use, which makes me just a bit uncomfortable with the situation. Does anyone have like a good tip to how I maybe get the configuration back? (and yes... An UPS is on my whislist) Thank you Edited January 16, 20215 yr by Michelle Bausager Title was misleading
January 16, 20215 yr Author EDIT: Okay, fast update. I got the downloaded .zip file to work with the right configuration, but it's a couple of months old. Since there realy isn't data on the USB, woudn't it be safe to start the array without any losses? The USB stores the configuration, licence key and plugins right? Nothing more? Previous: Okay, fast update. I got the downloaded .zip file to work with the right configuration, but it's a couple of months old. Would it work if I now started the array and when restored the backups from CA Backup? Anyone know if there's anything missing from the CA Backup? If it's even a good idea?
