doing a new install it was taking 8 hrs to do the Array, I notice i was getting a lot of errors, I stopped the array process (it didn't finish). now im trying to replace the hard drive but the old configuration is still there and it is saying disk missing.
I thought if I could clear the whole install and start again that would work. I don't know how to do that..

Why do you think you need to replace a hard drive? Connection problems are far more common than bad disks.

give us more info

A simple way to give us a lot of info is by posting diagnostics.

If possible before rebooting and preferably with the array started
Go to Tools - Diagnostics and attach the complete Diagnostics ZIP file to your NEXT post in this thread.

The 3TB was giving a lot of errors, I removed and add a 1TB. I guess the 3TB wasn't going to work.

I trying to understand how this works before I buy 4TB hard drives.

Getting the array started is taking long. 6-8 hrs. I want to getting a NAS with remote Access.

This is an 4 year old i5 with 16gb RAM, Is this ok?

I don't see that disk in the diagnostics. I think there is a very good chance there is nothing wrong with it. Install that 3TB and leave the others installed then post new diagnostics. Doesn't matter how or whether you assign them, I just want to take a look at the SMART for that 3TB disk
