my sisters Unraid had a USB Fatal error.. Dockers went down first.. and Starting services flashing..

she rebooted it..  but never came back up.. 

shoved the usb in the other unraid server.. and u can see its there but doesnt Say Data Traveler  the 256 one is built in hard drive on the motherboard for Windows 2003 server headless install.  but hte USB is below it.

 

can it be fixed?  or if not whats the procedure to get a new key or what not as i never done that.. do i need to provide the Serial on the usb key   as i need magnify glass..  as i have multiple unraids under my name i purchased

 

 

found the link to replace the keys  i will have to figure out how the drives will go back  as no backup  least maybe there is an auto backup

 

as i guess usb cant be fixed

 

my question is is there a way to have unraid  backup the flash to another unraid (mine) as i keep it backuped and then i can restore it.. but i know the Backup appdata flash but i dont know if it can backup remotely

 

and is there a way  to  you know if you have a issue u want diagnositcs..  you have to do it before a reboot

is there no way to get unraid to perserve that log file  so unraid saves the last 4 reboot logs    so you can reboot  and then choose log file and give the anoyomous download for the group.. it be nice  for the last 4.. but i guess not at this time...

 

or if USB has a Fatal error. while running Unraid automaticlly backups the current state of unraid... as if u were doing anything  since a backup  its no good..

because ur not backing up the flash every 5 min  if you do an install of a docker or write a file to the flash

 

but what can ya do.. guess i need to make sure better backups..  now to try to fix it
