Can't boot to OS GUI and no WebGUI

Featured Replies

I'm trying to get my new server running, but I can't get either the WebGUI to work (headless or OS GUI) and I can't get the OS GUI to launch.  The OS GUI gives the wall of Linux text then shifts to a blank black screen with a blinking underscore in the top left.  I've checked every bios setting I am able to edit to make sure it's not running in legacy and I've recreated the unraid usb image about 5 times with UEFI enabled every time.  I've also used 3 different USB sticks and they all do the same thing, I just don't really have another machine available that I'm willing to possibly mess up.

My build is:

i5 10400

MSI z490m

32gb ram

1tb m.2 nvme

I have an HBA card and a bunch of hdds, but I'd rather fix this issue before I introduce other components.

What version of Unraid are you trying to use?   Many recent motherboards require the 6.9.0 rc version to have driver support for the onboard NICs.

6.8.3.  Would moving to 6.9.0 possibly resolve the issues with both the WebGUI and OS GUI?

EDIT: Well, it didn't fix the OS GUI issue, but I can at least access the WebGUI.  So that's a start.

If your running WebGUI you would be best to run headless anyway.

Is everything else functioning with 6.9.0?
