darkside40
While i was fixing some problems with my current unRaid 6.9 Setup i came across the disks.ini file and saw that it featured a value named spundown. Could somebody explain how that value is retrieved? DiskIO counter? hdparm or completely different? There are several approaches an to be honest some of them are not really precise. itimpi
That file is generated by the emhttpd daemon, and only Limetech knows exactly what they do to populate it in any particular Unraid release. Quote Link to comment
darkside40
Thats too bad, a bit more info about this would be useful. If it is based on reliable approach that could be used to determinate if the array is inactive. Quote Link to comment
darkside40
@limetech could you or any of the team explain how the status is determinated? Quote Link to comment
SimonF
I believe it uses IO count then will issue a hdparm to sg_start and sdparm if sas to spin down devices. is spin down is succesful then status is updates. Limetech provides som info in this post. Quote Link to comment
