New users are set as 'Advanced Member' ?

Featured Replies

This has been bugging me for what seems like years!, its a VERY minor thing but i would love to know why brand new users with post counts less than 50 have a status of 'Advanced Member', seems a bit weird, i mean what do you get when you get to a 100 posts 'Serious Major Guru' ? 🙂, screenshot of a random user with less than 50 posts:-

and yes i know you can change the text to whatever you want, but its stlll a weird default, surely 'Member' or 'New User' would be more fitting - there, i've said, now i can forget about it 🙂

IIRC, only once you hit something like 500 / 1000 posts can you change the text.

FWIW, this was the original suggestion by @RobJ

Prolific     1000

Of course post count is not a reliable indicator of how advanced anyone is. I remember one user with 1000+ and they were all questions, mostly already answered.

Instead of advanced, I think "established" is a better descriptor.

So, @Squid@trurl,what does 20,000 posts get you? I already have no life, what can I look forward to?

I took early retirement 3 years ago.

Surprisingly it hasn't garnered me a divorce yet....  😕

10,000+ is "has no life" not "has no wife!"

Obviously, not even 20,000 gets you to the latter; not that it should be a goal.  😁

Agreed- I’ll take a look in the settings and change them to something more befitting.

Currently set to 500 and then you can change the text.

Updated to this now:

For all of you 1000+ posters, is there a consensus "Rank" you'd like me to add? I'm all ears...
