Not doubting you, but curious.  Where are you are seeing this advertised?

Newegg sends out daily emails of "specials" that will show up, that day, at a certain time.   This one is scheduled to show up 1pm Pacific.

 

You may sign up on their website to get those daily "Shell Shocker Preview" emails.

I just checked my account settings and do not see a signup for a special shell shocker email, just the "newsletter", which I do get.

 

Any ideas how to turn this on?

Thanks!!!  At the bottom of the email there is a link to "Manage your e-mail subscriptions here", that allows you to request the shell shocker preview email.  I didn't find a way to navigate to this page from the Web Site.

Torn if I should get 2 or 4  I know 2 will give me a lot more space to fill up, just not sure they will be this cheap again when the time comes to get my other 2.  $60 for 2TB is the cheapest I personally ever seen, so might just get all 4 now.

AGH!  And I just ordered one the other day when they had them with the $20 off code reducing it down to $79.99.  Now the question is, should I go for another?!?!

Stinkers! They only let you buy one during a 48 hour period...

if you use a different credit card and setup a new account, for your wife, brother,etc you can order 2.  The rebate limit is 2 per household.

I just ordered a second one(ordrered 1st last night at $79). It hasn't been charged to my CC(same as 1st order) yet, but we'll see. I also called NewEgg and they gave me $10 back(NewEgg rocks for this kind of thing) for the drive last night. I did this BEFORE placing the new order. So the only hurdle now is the rebate, since I'll have 2 reciepts.

FWIW.  NewEgg just sold out.  A friend of mine was at the start of the checkout process when his order got bounced.

 

Funny- even though it's 3:45am on the West Coast, they seem to be back in stock..... with the price back to normal, naturally.

Drive arrived this afternoon. Unfortunately, it's DOA. Multiple cables, power connectors, 3 different controllers, RAID/AHCI/IDE modes. Not coming to life.

Mine arrived yesterday.  Preclear started late last night.  About 300G through post read.  Looks perfect so far.
