How do I make "SMART HISTORY" command work in UnMenu?

Featured Replies

5.0b2 + UnMenu.  A recent scare led me to be more concerned with my drives' SMART values.

Clicking on Smart History gives me the error: /boot/smarthistory doesn't exist

Created the directory via telnet, new error:  /boot/smarthistory/smarthistory.php file does not exist

I'm stuck!  I cannot see the /boot nor /boot/smarthistory in Windows to unzip/copy anything into.

How do I fix this?  (First-time linux user, so don't underestimate my ignorance)

Thanks!

The "/boot" directory under Linux is equivalent to the "flash" share.

You have to separately install smarthistory into that directory.  Have you done that?

I do not use smarthistory, so have lost track of it.  Have not seen an update in a very long time.

I've downloaded Smarthistory.  How do I get it into the folder- because I can't see /boot/smarthistory it in Explorer.

from telnet

mkdir /boot/smarthistory

instructions are in the thread in the customizations forum

In explorer it would be \\tower\flash\smarthistory

Note:  you'll also need to install "php" if running on any 4.X version of unRAID.

Thanks- to you guys.  I've got it working now.   :)

The graphs it presents- begin with today's values.  Does that info get refreshed automatically or do I have to run the program manually thru UnMenu?

If it's only updated when ran, can I automate things- I'd like to see trends before something bad happens?  I've seen talk of cron jobs to schedule programs- and I'm hoping if that's what's required, that setting one up isn't too difficult.
