I am looking for supported SATA Controller Cards in order to expand my NAS by at least 4 SATA ports.
My UNRAID server has:

 

 

• MOBO = AsRock Z490 Phantom Gaming 4
• UNRAID = 6.9.0-rc2

 

 

Since they are in Italy as a price assistance ratio it would be better to buy on Amazon.it since they also give guarantees in case of problems.

Any controller recommended under 100 €?

Not that one, avoid any Marvell controller and any controller with port multipliers, that one has both.

 

4 Ports look for Asmedia ASM1064 or ASM1164

5 Ports look for JMB585

6 Ports look for Asmedia ASM1166

8 Ports look for LSI with a SAS2008/2308/3008/3408 chipset in IT mode, e.g., 9201-8i, 9211-8i, 9207-8i, 9300-8i, 9400-8i, etc and clones, like the Dell H200/H310 and IBM M1015, these latter ones need to be crossflashed.

I believe I will try the Asmedia ASM1166.
