Made a hash of my Domain records.... How to recover?

Featured Replies

I thought I understood DNS records! Now I'm in a tailspin.....

I have.......... two domains with Godaddy, but gave control of the nameservers to Cloudflare.

I have managed to corrupt the IP address in the A name in one of my domains and I can't figure out how to recover the original IP address.

I thought that putting the domain name in a DNS lookup would show me the answer. Whilst the answer does belong to Cloudflare, it doesn't take me to my Godaddy webpage...

My simple brain thinks that I have a web page constructed and godaddy still have that. But, if I type my domain name in the address bar, it doesn't go there....

I have a direct comparison to my other (unmolested) domain name. Also hosted by Godaddy and, again, dns handled by Cloudflare. If I type in that domain name, it correctly takes me to my Godaddy homepage. However, if I do a DNS lookup on the domain name in shows me the cloudflare NS, not the original A name IP that transferred from Godaddy in the first place.

I've asked Godaddy, but yet to get a reply.....

I was hoping that the assembled masses might know a way of recovering the same info.
