All Shares Vanished After Changing Cache: Prefer to Cache: No (Solved)

Featured Replies

All of my shares just disappeared for some reason. I was changing the cache setting on one share, hit apply, and I got "share has been deleted" screen. Not just that share was impacted - every share is gone, and I get the array stopped view in Main.

I reset the server to no success.

Before I do anything else, is there anything possible to try to restore it instead of starting from scratch? I'm on version 6.9.0-rc2.

An update: I restarted the array. Luckily, all of the shares and data are restored. But this time Docker will not start. It seems it might be something with the Cache drive.

After array start please.

Thanks - I was scared to restart the array.  The cache drive filled up when performing a backup of my windows PC, and the mover didn't  work. I went ahead and cleared the cache drive and re-attached.   I also set all the shares to "No" for cache before.

I needed to totally reinstall the docker, and rebuild the plex server, but everything is back to okay.  I've set app data, domains, system back to "Prefer" and ISOs to "Yes", keeping the large storage shares as "No" to prevent this from recurring.
