New hardware change and some issues encountered, would appreciate help

Featured Replies

I have done a major hardware change on my box. CPU and motherboard fully upgraded to Ryzen 9 3900 and x470 mobo. There are a couple of changes on the network side. I am no longer using the SFP+ ports on the ASROCK as the motherboard has changed to an MSI gaming board.

I have a Mellanox connectx3 installed but it does not show up in devices or the interfaces

I have 3 16x slots and I have installed the following on them.

  1. Quadro p600 card
  2. Connectx 3 SFP+ nic
  3. LSI SAS controller

I plan to install another quad port nic in another PCIe slot 1x as I don't have any more 4x slots. Its on order.

Is there a reason why the connect x3 would not show up?

Here are all the devices I have in the attached pic

If it doesn't show up it's a hardware issue, try a different slot to test, even if you need to remove another card.

I think I have an issue with the NVME drives I have. I have 2 installed and I am trying to use 3 16x slots. Could that be the issue?

Pls check motherboard menu, some PCIe slot won't available if some NVMe or SATA have use.
