individual Spin-up/Spin-down buttons

Featured Replies

I am not sure if this is the right place for suggestions or if this has been suggested previously...

The ability to spin up/down individual disks.

I know I had a specific reason for wanting this functionality but I can't remember what it was!  LOL  Oh well...chalk that one to old age!

Does anyone else see this as a "nice-to-have"?

Do you have unmenu installed?  The myMain plugin has this feature. Just click on the spinning icon to spin down an individual disk, or the not spinning (-) icon to spin it up.

There are command line unRaid commands to accomplish this but no buttons on the standard GUI.

That's good to know!  I have avoided plugins until 5.0 Final is released since I brand new to all of this.  However, I can still play with it on my test box.

Thx bj

The "disk-management" page in unMEU also has the ability to spin-up/down individual drives.

It won't take too long after unRAID 5.0 is a bit more stable before the added features like this are available via its plug-in scheme.
