i'm very new to unraid and currently study the docs.

 

As reading the chapter about performance, i came across the pros and cons of RMW and TW.

 

Maybe a combination of both could be a better solution.

During "Working hours" when performance is the key one could use turbo write.

By night, when e.g. there are only some backups are running, one could switch to the slower but less power consuming RMW method.

 

Not sue if this is possible but maybe worth a trie.
