Licence device count question - Internal 128MB USB device

Recommended Posts

Hi,  First post here as I move from Netgear ReadyNAS Pro 6 to Unraid on the SAME hardware.

Using a VGA ribbon cable I've now got the old ReadNAS HW running Unraid from a external USB drive and its great!!!

Question on the licence, Basic allows 6 attached devices (boot flash excluded) but on the Netgear HW they have a tiny 128MB internal USB drive you can't remove, this is used for emergency recovery.  It shows up as an unassigned device.

Unassigned Devices

DEVICE IDENTIFICATION TEMP
sdc WDC_WD40EFRX-68WT0N0_WD-WCC4E0R***** - 4 TB (sdc)
sda SMI_USB_DISK_AA04012700007570-0:0 - 128 MB (sda)

Will this count against the 6 devices of the licence?

Any way to block it from counting or showing up as I can't use it but I want to be able to use all 6 bays of my HW?

Thanks,

 Gordon

Hello Gordon,

Unassigned Devices do count towards the license total. Is there any way to safely remove or unplug this internal USB?
