Boot-GUI Resolution change ?

Recommended Posts

How can i change the Resolution from the unraid 6.8.3

1.) i will boot unraid - gui Mode

2.) system start fine

3.) but the resolution was horrible 1024x768  ????  wtf ... we live 2021 and not 1996

I have a 4k monitor with 3840x2160@60Hz with my master gfx card for unraid Nvidia 1050

my second card for VMs was a Nvidia 2060 Card

i have read some threads but nothing will work i found nothing to work with the NV1050 Card to 3840x2160

root@unraid:~# xrandr
xrandr: Failed to get size of gamma for output default
Screen 0: minimum 640 x 480, current 1024 x 768, maximum 1024 x 768
default connected 1024x768+0+0 0mm x 0mm
   1024x768       0.00*
   800x600        0.00
   640x480        0.00

Please Help me , what can i do ? to fix this horrible problem

ThanX

if i boot UEFI
The Bootmenu looks 4k i select "unraid - gui" for boot , but after 3 seconds the cursor will blink left top

i can change via ctrl+f1 to the first console and i have a login with 4k but no gui desktop 🙄

So i will back boot Legacy / CSM  🙄  and the resolution Bootmenu looks 1024x768 and the desktop 1024x768 😬

NV1050

Install the nVidia driver plugin?

Also, while not much comfort, at least there is very little reason (other than the odd piece of management) for you to actually use the webGUI of Unraid.  Pretty much you should be utilizing another system to interact with the GUI.

how i do this ?

i don`t find a nVidia driver Plugin under Apps 🙄

You'll need to upgrade to the 6.9.0-rc2 to use that plugin, or you'll need to use the custom kernel builder for the current version (6.8.3).

For what its worth, I use the GUI @ 4K with the driver installed
