Enabled virtualization in Windows VM - won't boot

Featured Replies

I'm running a Ryzen 7 2700X and had a windows 10 vm running fine. I was looking to update the Windows Subsystem for Linux to WSL 2 following this guide: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/install-win10

I ran the enable virtual machine command:

dism.exe /online /enable-feature /featurename:VirtualMachinePlatform /all /norestart

and after restarting, the VM no longer boots to Windows login screen. I've had a similar thing happen before when I tried to enable Docker within a Win 10 VM and I ended up having to scrap that vdisk entirely.

Is there anyway to restore this VM? Using VNC Remote, I only get the "Guest hasn't initialized display yet" message and there also doesn't seem to be anything in the vm log:
