[SOLVED] I can't get unraid notifications to work with gmail SMTP

Featured Replies

I'm using literally the same settings as I am using in bitwarden, and bitwarden is working fine.

I am using an account without 2FA and using the allow insecure apps option in gmail.

All I am getting is  Test result: Authorization failed

I can confirm that these settings work for me.  How do these compare to the settings you're using?  Maybe post a screenshot?

I have slightly different settings than Striker that also works:

I've already tried both of those...

also I did finally just turn on 2FA on gmail and assign app tokens to my smtp clients. Once again Bitwarden is working with it, but unraid is not.

Did you check the log when doing the connection test ? It might provide some information.

Another data point: I use option "Gmail with TLS" and port 587. Works well.

My google account didn't display app passwords under 2FA as an option, the help was no use at all.

Here is an easy link for those that follow;

Thank you so much for the link. I nearly freaked out after searching for solutions for over three hours because of the missing option "app passwords".

I use Discord for notifications to the app on my phone. It works really well.
