How to remove Parity Disk from the array of two disks

Featured Replies

Hello, I am new to unRAID. At one of my sites, client has set up unraid OS Pro 6.8.0. They have 2 10Tb hard disk in the array - One for data and another for parity.

Now I want to free parity hard disk and want to use for another PC. But still I want to keep 1st data hard disk for regular operation.

So please guide me that how can I remove parity hard disk without losing data on disk 1.

Regards

easy enough to do:

  • Stop array
  • unassigned parity disk
  • start array to ‘forget’ parity disk assignment.
