Docker Setting: no gateway set oder setable for br0

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

i have a strange failure in my configuration. I am running unraid 6.9.0-rc2 and Docker version 19.03.14.

I have several docker containers running and one is running on custom network br0 with a manual set fixed IP. But this container is not able to e.g. connect to the internet through the br0 network because the gateway is missing.

I checked the Docker settings and it shows, that the "IPv4 custom network on interface br0" hat set no gateway. It just shows "Gateway: " an after that its blank. When i disable Docker and want to edit these settings its not allowed to fill something in.

Has anyone an idea how to set the gateway for br0?

Thanks in advance!

PS: the gateway is set for eth0 and of course bridging is enabled for eth0 aswell; vlan is disabled because my switch does not support vlans

was this ever figured out?

Hello,

I had the same issue but solved it.
This is because you've set (or came configured) 0 for the optional metric in the network settings for eth0, which means no default gateway. Removing the 0 will give it a gateway again.
