CS01-HS
hdparm seems to work but is there a better way (that might update the WebGUI's activity "LED") ? Quote Link to comment
Tom3
Hi On the MAIN page of UNRAID, under Array Devices, where the disks are listed... 1. The dot in front of each disk device spins that one disk up or down (toggling the state). Hover your mouse over the dot to see... 2. There are up and down arrows just below the list of devices (on the line Array of {number} devices) to spin down or spin up all devices. -- Tom Quote Link to comment
CS01-HS
Thanks but I meant a console command (I'm trying to script something.) Quote Link to comment
SimonF
smartctl can do spin downs and support has been added for sas smartctl -s standby, now, but may fail for usb block devices i.e. Flash drives sas support vers not currently in unraid Unassigned and pools use sdspin aswell as array in usr/local/sbin but only does sata with hdparm unless you have dorons plugin. Which updates sdspin I dont think there is one commamd that covers all bases you need to use cmds based on device type Edited February 20, 2021 by SimonF 1 Quote Link to comment

CS01-HS
Kind of, from SimonF's post above - sdspin. I haven't used it in a while though and this post suggests some issues spinning down: Quote Link to comment
