Unassigned drive keeps "removing after probe failure status: -19"

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've been having issues with my newly added NVME SSD. It has never consistently worked since I installed it, but seems to work every now and then. I tried adding nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=0 to my boot flash but that didn't seem to work

Recently before it went down, I got a notification about it overheating, so maybe that is the problem?

Below is what I think the import log lines are. Diagnostics attached just in case

Feb 20 13:50:08 Garthplex kernel: ACPI: Thermal Zone [TZ10] (17 C)

Feb 20 13:50:08 Garthplex kernel: thermal LNXTHERM:01: registered as thermal_zone2

Feb 20 13:50:08 Garthplex kernel: ACPI: Thermal Zone [TZ00] (28 C)

Feb 20 13:50:08 Garthplex kernel: nvme nvme0: Device not ready; aborting reset

Feb 20 13:50:08 Garthplex kernel: nvme nvme0: Removing after probe failure status: -19

Should I try this SSD in my other M.2 Drive? or get a new drive altogether?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Garth

Both are worth trying.
