February 21, 20215 yr Installed Unraid but it hasn't created the default shares because the drives need to be formatted. I have 2 drives fitted to the motherboard with family photos on them. If these drives are in the unassigned drive list, will Unraid format them, or just the drives assigned to the array?
February 21, 20215 yr Community Expert It should be just be the drives assigned to the array or a (cache) pool. It does, however, display the serial numbers of any drives it is about to format so you can check they are the ones you expect (to avoid any accidents).
