6.9.0-rc2 passthrough/usb trouble?

Featured Replies

I posted in VMs section but no answer yet, just a bit impatient.

On 6.9.0 -rc2

Ryzen 3600

MSI B550m MAG Mortar

16gb (2x8) 3600mhz

GTX 1070

I've been setting up my VM over this weekend and last night it crashed while I was gaming on it.

I tried getting on it this morning and was getting errors.

This was earlier today, from the VM log.

2021-02-21T18:27:02.327834Z qemu-system-x86_64: vfio_region_write(0000:2b:00.0:region3+0x115b828, 0x0,8) failed: Device or resource busy

My Memory "Log" was 100%, and I ran this:

du -sm /var/log/*

which told me that /var/log/syslog was at 121.

Right now, won't even let me run it, it gives me this pop-up:

Execution error

internal error: Did not find USB device 1532:007b

I was also getting: UNKNOWN PCI SOURCE TYPE 'VENDOR' earlier as well.

I did try adding a USB controller this morning before booting again, which I couldn't get working. So I uninstalled and removed from the motherboard.

I was also trying to passthrough the motherboard USB controller for the back I/O (unraid USB is in case USB slot, it's a separate controller). I got this working and go onto said VM with VNC but no passthrough with 1070.

From googling online, I think I may have messed up the XML by adding and taking away a bunch of stuff. But I'm not sure if that's the case either. I tried making a new win10 VM and it works on VNC but can't get it to work with passthrough to my 1070.

Any thoughts?

Please don't double post, the VM section is the correct one for this issue:
