Disk had read error, what to look for?

Featured Replies

Hi all!
Hope you're doing well, today I moved my unraid setup to a new machine, all went well but since I've done a parity check apparently Disk 2 has some read errors.

I've attached some diagnostics if anyone can perhaps have a look at them and let me know?
I actually am not sure what to look for exactly, and if the drive needs to be replaced, should I cancel the parity check or let it complete?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Those are just the smart reports for some disks. The complete diagnostics would include all that plus syslog and many other things about your hardware and configuration.

Go to Tools - Diagnostics and attach the complete Diagnostics ZIP file to your NEXT post in this thread.

Run an extended SMART test on disk2.

Main - Array Devices - Disk 2 - Self-Test - SMART extended self-test

I ran a extended SMART test on Disk 2 and came out with "Completed without error"
I have attached the ZIP file with the SMART Test as well.
