loosing disks at every parity sync

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm new to unraid and started my server in september or something like that. I've been adding disk as I was migrating my data.

since december I would say I'm having some issues with parity sync.

every time I have a parity sync (manual or scheduled) I loose some disks. it just says it's got errors and removes it from the array. but when I test the drive, it is fine.

I've been changing disks, rebuilding arrays, adding/removing disks, I've tryed all I could think off but I still have the issue.

could someone help?

Have you tried reseating the cabling to the drives and to the HBA?

I've got a Dell H200 6 Gbit/S SAS LSI 9210-8i connected to a Lenovo 16-Port 6 Gbit/s SAS-2 Sata Expander connected to the backplane.

all cables seem ok, and everything works well when I have no parity disk. (I meen it does not disable other disks).

I have reduced my number of drives because I was suggested a power issue but it does not resolve the problem (removed 8 drives)

I only had 8To seagate errors until now and todays try made 2 WD fail also. I stopped the parity sync, stopped the array, restarted the array and disks are connected again so I realy don't think of a power or cable issue.

I use Lenovo expander with different HBA without issue, you need stress test or change / replace hardware to rule out the problem.
