How to switch from an Unraid Windows VM back to a regular Windows install?

Featured Replies

I have found plenty of examples of people switching from a Windows install to an Unraid windows VM but cant seem to find any guides on how to switch back? Is there a way to do this - by converting the VDisk to a regularly partitioned disk? I tried adding an unassigned drive to the array and cloning the windows VM disk to the newly installed one but this didn't seem to work (sorry if this makes you cringe). I want to try and avoid having to install Windows and lose all the programs I had on the installs but if this isn't possible then I will just bite the bullet.

Thanks in advance! :)
