February 12, 201115 yr I've just finished building an unRaid server using version 4.7 but I can't read or write files to it using my Mac. I have a Mac desktop, a Windows XP laptop and a Windows 7 laptop. I can transfer files from the Windows machines, but I get error 36 when I try to transfer a file from Mac and I get an error if I try to transfer a file from the unRaid to the Mac. syslog.txt
February 12, 201115 yr i have found that i if i am trying to move more than file seperate items (opening more than 5 "copying" windows) that i get an error. it doesn't seem to matter how big the files are (1.4mb or 157Gb) it will not work if there are more than 5 open at at time. i don't know if this is the same problem that you are having, but if it is then i have found no answer but to not do so many copies at once. kingpin
February 12, 201115 yr Have you tried copying files from your windows 7 box to the mac? Might help isolate where the issue lies. Also are you using share security on unraid? Try turning it off if you are.
February 12, 201115 yr Author I can move files just fine between my windows machines and the mac and I haven't set up any security on the unRaid yet.
February 13, 201115 yr are you using an ip address or something like tower to try and access unraid (smb://tower or smb://192.168.1.X)?
