March 3, 20215 yr Hey all, since i've updated unraid to 6.9.0. the standby Option in my windows 10 VM is missing. I'm waking up my Windows 10 VM once a week through a script to get a job done. When this task is finished, the windows standby mode puts the VM back to sleep. The hard disks that I use via pcie passtrough in the VM also go to sleep. Good way to reduce the power consumption. It worked without any problems until now. Now the standby mode is gone and i haven't found a way to bring it back. Seems like the virtual machine isn't supporting standby or hibernate anymore due to some reason. Maybe someone has an idea? Thanks,
May 27, 20215 yr Author Finally found a solution, i had to set hypervisorlaunchtype to off for my windows vm. Run Command Prompt as an Administrator. Type bcdedit and then press Enter. Under Windows Boot Loader an identifier is reported. Type bcdedit /set {identifier} hypervisorlaunchtype off and then press Enter.
