February 13, 201115 yr Hello I've just started my unraid 4.7server, with 2 disk: 2Tb and 1.5Tb That's might be a stupid quesiton, but what am I supposed to do know? When I go into Main, I see 2 lines Disk_Wrong Disk_New When I go in UnRaid Main, I see: Parity: Not installed Disk 1: ST31500541AS_6XW0R90A 34°C 1,465,138,552 ST3250310AS_6RY1BN39 244,197,496 Disk 2: ST32000542AS_5XW1P3BD 33°C 1,953,514,552 What should I do now? How should I assign the parity drive (2TB) ? How should I format the 1.5Tb drive? Why do I have th edisk_Wrong message? Sorry for my ignorance by the way... Thanks in advance
February 13, 201115 yr Author Few more comments: few months ago, I started to build my first Unraid server, with Rev 4.5 and only 1 x 250Gb disk I worked well (with t hegreat help of Joe L) Recently, I upgraded to Rev 4.7 (copy/paste the right file on the usb stick) on remove the 250Gb disk and put 1 x 2Tb and 1 x 1.5Tb..This might explain the 244,197,496 in disk 1!!!
February 13, 201115 yr I assume you don't want to save anything on the old 250gig drive? Just go to the devices page and assign the 2T to the parity and the 1.5T to the disk1. Then, log-in via the console or telnet (user Root, no password) and type initconfig. Answer Yes to the prompt. Then, you can go back to the main screen and hit the start button. Peter
