Updated to 6.9.0 rc2, Now Plex will not Connect

Recommended Posts

I have tried to trouble shoot this, but I am new to Unraid and Plex.

1. I have downloaded Nvidia Driver by ich777 and updated everything.

2. I have completed multiply restarts and modem restarts

3. I have rolled back the OS multiply times, restored my appdata, and uninstalled and reinstalled plex multiply times

4. I even tried to delete my plex folder to trying and reload everything from the beginning with no luck.

(Side note: Trying to delete folders in Unraid is hard :( )

Plex states states that it can't connect. I don't know what to do. Please help. I get the feeling that there is probably a easy fix to my problem. I'm just to slow to figure it out.

If plex is stating anything then it must be running. Do you have a screenshot?

Maybe you just need to login to plex again.

Unlikely all the restarts and reinstalls would have had an effect.

You don't say which plex docker you are using.

Post your docker run command as explained at the very first link in the Docker FAQ.

Thank you for the replay and Help :)

This was the first time I logged into my unraid server and the prompt said there was a new version, So I just updated it.

Right after the update plex stopped working. Truthfully, after all the troubleshooting I have been doing I probably have messed something up. This is my first time trying to fix an issue.

1. I am using Plex-Media-Server docker, and plex linuxserver's repository for the HW. But early in the troubleshooting process I changed some settings in both dockers that probably made things worse 😩

2. When I try to connect to Plex with WebUI plex states plex says "This application is at #### and is not hosted by Plex." Plex gives me the option to sign in, but when I do, plex can't connect to me. I have not changed any ports or anything.

According to your docker run command you are using the "official" plex docker and not linuxserver plex.

That plex docker is supported on the plex forum.

google this:

plex critical libusb_init failed

Ok, is it possible to just start from scratch and just delete the Plex-Media-Server folder completely from my appdata share and just do everything over again? So, it's just a new install instead of a reinstall? It is the only folder I have currently in my appdata share at the the moment anyway. I tried to delete that folder from my windows 10 computer with no success though. Also, tried new permissions, and Midnight command.

Generally, you shouldn't do New Permissions on appdata since that would break the permissions the docker had setup.

But you should be able to delete anything from Midnight Commander.

Go to Tools - Diagnostics and attach the complete Diagnostics ZIP file to your NEXT post in this thread.

No, the only docker I have is Plex-Media-Server. This is brand new to me. I only built this Nas for plex so I could use my media when I travel. Honestly, I don't plan to do VMS or other dockers.
