Network Connectivity issues since upgrading

I recently upgraded from 6.8.3 to 6.9 and since then I been having connectivity issues. After booting and at random intervals I was losing the web gui interface. From the server I'm unable to ping the default gateway and noticed that the link lights were now out. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
