Network card shows as portdown but does work in linux

Featured Replies

I have a network card that is showing as portdown in unraid but the card works correctly in linux so I was expecting it to work in unraid. I have tried swapping them around in the settings option but it does not seem to make any difference.

I dont really know what I am looking for but they do have different MAC's so I think it has found the card any help would be great.

What is your indication that the card is "down" and does not work in unRAID?

In Settings --> Network Settings does the interface appear?

Here is my second NIC (eth1) which I have taken down in unRAID by clicking on the Port Down button.  FYI - if the Port Down button is active, the NIC is actually active and recognized by unRAID.  If the Port Up button is active (as seen below), it means the card has been deactivated and can be brought up again in unRAID by clicking the button.

O right thank you, I was only concerned because it was saying in the status bar that the NIC was not active and plug in a cable even though it was in. I do have the Port Down button so I will assume then it is working
