VM Menu Point gone?!

Featured Replies

Dear Support Team,

after a restart of unraid (whole server) i lost the menu point for the VM´s?! Docker is still there.

The vdisks are there but there no menu to start the vm´s like usual.

Nothing in the left bar and nothing on the "Dashboard" view.

after 2 restarts still nothing there :(

thx in advance!

EDIT: for whatever reason the vm functionality was deactivated :(

now i have activated it and started a vm and now the unraid server is not reachable (ping and webui) and can only be hard restarted. :(

no chance to get a diagnostics log here :(

EDIT2: After Reboot now of course parity check is running. But this time i see vm´s and docker´s again. But i cant start a docker it fails. and takes ages but never starts the docker.

Post a new set of diagnostics

So "good" so far.

What i did. I realized that i got UNRAID 6.8.3 running then i took the risk (maybe im dumb) and updated to 6.9.1. All seemed good. Then my Cache Array where some of the VM´s where was unknown file system (maybe this was causing the system to stop, we´ll never know). So i had to format the cache array and restored the vm´s from my backup. VM boots up fine now. no hickups on unraid side this time except for the following problems.

Fact im on 6.9.1 now.

here comes the except...

If i want to open "VNC" on the VM´s via Unraid Dashboard it shows me this:

image.thumb.png.e6bab3610e4080e17847e9217fe98e59.png

on the "Main"-Dash on the UNASSIGNED Devices Area it shows this:

image.thumb.png.cead98b815a0d14910bd7c54f7939ae1.png

all other things like the dockers, the filesystem and smb shares seems to work fine!

Here are the "new" diagnostics:

best regards

How about you update UD.  The version you have installed is almost a year old.  Before asking for help with a plugin, be sure you have the latest version installed.
