New HDD - 8 million writes

Hello,

Yesterday I installed a new HDD and after mounting the disk, I got an 'unmountable unsupported partition layout' error and the 8 million writes you see below. I realised that I didnt format the drive (I'm still new to Unraid) and have done so now and it looks to be working, however I've never seen a number of writes that big before on a new HDD, and am wondering if its a problem?
