March 11, 20215 yr Hi, I'm trying to setup a fresh copy of unraid. I have 2 HDD (WD 8TB) and 1 SSD (1.6TB). I want to use 1 hdd drive as parity and 1 as data and the SSD as the cache drive. When I boot into unraid for the first time, I am able to see both HDD drives. I am able to: 1. Set the SSD as cache drive. 2. Set either the parity or the data drive. Once I set either, the page refreshes and then the other hdd drive is not visible in the drop down list. I'm not sure what the issue is? Could it be the cable? I do have the hdd drives installed externally in a kingwin HDD enclosure and I moved the HDD into different slots and get the same result. I'm attaching the Tools -> Diagnostic file here as well. oceans-1125-diagnostics-20210310-1704.zip Edited March 11, 20215 yr by syst1k attaching the logs

March 11, 20215 yr Author No, its connected via SATA. The enclosure has sata ports - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BMJ1WD6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&th=1 I was poking around in the logs and it seems there are errors: Quote Write SCT (Get) Error Recovery Control Command failed: scsi error badly formed scsi parameters Does this mean a bad drive? during boot I can hear some beeps.
