September 15, 20214 yr I'm running 6.10.0-rc1 and this font issue is still there. Will this be fixed in the upcoming release?
May 7, 20224 yr found this on reddit and it fixed it for me for everyone to lazy to read 🙂 add unraid as an exception to the duckduckgo extension Edited May 8, 20224 yr by chiwou

Brave browser which I use, has a demo site which you can check your browser against being fingerprinted but it appears that their fingerprint mitigation is causing this. If this is the case, I'd prefer a solution in the server since I don't want to turn this off in my browser. Here are the other discussions people are having and for the record, this definitely happens in brave browser. Discussions here and here. Here's an article describing the fingerprint mitigation added to Brave browser Thank you, this was driving me crazy with the distorted font in terminal/logs. Disabling brave shields was the answer.

BUT: Can we please agree that disabling security features just to fix a cosmetic bug is NOT acceptable? I am more interested in what caused the issue in the first place, that security shields could have caused this? Is there some weird loading order that tries to get fonts from external sites or something like that?

The first thing I tried was adjusting the font size in display settings.. didn't correct the problem. I had to disable the duckduckgo extension to fix the weird font display issue. Not sure why the duckduckgo extension caused that, but happy to have the font look good again!
